KENTOWN taken to the outside in the first quarter, worked bis way up gradually, withstood pressure gamely and wearing down MEADOW DEW, drew out. MISMARK, never a great distance back and on the outside in the final three eighths, closed resolutely and headed MEADOW DEW at the end. The latter raced into a good lead on the inside while in band, but tired in the final eighth. DIE SPORT finished well. TRIM STEPPER began slowly. NAM I.EONAI and GAY THORN quit badly. ARCHED pulled up lame. LESS TIME was rami" tar back when she broke down. AlLD LANG SYNE refused. MARGARET T.. also a factor from the start, held on well. REKLAW finished courageously in his goof! effort BUSY LINE kept up under urging and tiied in the closing three sixteenths. AFGHANISTAN, raced very wide throughout and saved hark of the pace to the stretch, could not withstand the winners challenge and tired in the late stages. RAS TAFFARI, on the inside much of the trip and under light urging eaily. swerved under pressure and bore over on M1I.LO near the enl. The latter offered good early contention, dinpped hack entering the. stretch, but finished evenly, despite interference. CHIFLA never threatened. BUSYRIDGE, hustled into command, held his advantaee under urging, driftpd out in the stretch and failed to withstand the winner, yet held on gamelv. PEARL HARBOR, outrun from ihe start, closed fairly well through the stretch. SUNNY PORTRESS tired, but lasted to finish in a dead hnt with BLUE POM. The latter also faltered under mild pressure. KAI HI saved ground to the stretch, was in close quarters nearing the last eighth and rallied when clear. SONG MASTER tired when the real test came. PRAETORIAN also-faltered in the drive.
