Won easily: second and third driving. OK SUGAR, away slowly and practically left, moved up resolutely in the back stretch and, after taking command, drew out to win as her rider pleased, being much the best. HI CARL went to the front at the start, set the Dace to the upper turn, but gave way to the winner and continued gamely to easily best the others. TO BOOT, under light restraint until reaching the stretch, responded readily when roused, but was unable to menace the leaders. MLSKRAT. in hand until the final quarter, could not threaten when steered to the eutside for the drive. SPITEFUL was never dangerous. SEASON CALL had early speed. PRINCIPAL ONE was alwavs outrun. LOCHLEA saved ground when outrun in the fi"-t half, came between horses entering the ttretch and, responding to punishment, disposed of MARMAC in the last sixteenth. M RMAC. a keen factor from the start, went to the front approaching the stretch and held on gamely. 1 ut was unable to withstand the winner. ACKWELL, never far back and well handled, came to the outside for the drive and made a bold bid, but hung near the finish. TOWER MAID, slow to begin and badly outrun early, closed with a nish. eiving a sharp effort. VALDINA BISHOP could not better his position and had no excuses. HIGH ONE lacked raring room in the stretch. JOSS STICK, on the inside, moved up stoutlv on the final turn and then f.iltered. MOTHERS GIRL had good speed in the fiist half and then tiled. I.lCIAS SIN, alertly ridden, began fast and. taken under restraint for five-eiehths, responded well when urged during the stretch run, disposing of APPOINTEE in the closing strides. APPOINTEE, in hand until reaching the last three-eighths, came around his field entering the stretch to take command, bat could not retain his advantage under brisk handling ISOLDE, never far back, came to the inside for the .drive and finished resolutely. BEBEJA raced wide to the final turn, hut closed determinedly when straightened in the stretch. PETE JR. raced evenly without mishap. EL TOREADOR was never dangerous. BLACK RAIDER, well handled, went to the front after leaving the back stretch, responded to stiong urging in the drive and held FAIRLY FLY safe. The latter, a forward factor throughout, took command before going a quarter, came determinedly when put to punishment during the stretch run, but was unable to overhaul the winner. CHIEF BLD, on the inside from the start, improved his position steadily to the stretch, but failed to get to the leaders when hard ridden thereafter. ANYTIME faltered after racing forwardly placed to the last eighth. COSSACK POST went evenly and had no excuse. COUNTMEIN was done early. ST. DOGPATCH, never far back, but in close quarters to the final turn, came determinedly when roused entering the stretch and, alter taking command, drew clear without need of strong urging. COL. TEDDY, rushed up fast to gain a contending position after the start, reached the lead before going a quarter, held on well thereafter, but was not t il enough for the winner. THREE PERCENT moved up fast alter breaking sluggishly, went to the front approaching the stretch, but could not retain his advantage under strong handling. SAMBOROMBON, slow to begin and outrun in the first half, was steered to the outside for the drive and finished resolutely, working out the mile in 1:39%. BIG MEAL, in tight quarters to the stretch, failed to threaten when clear. DEFENSE began fast, but failed to keep up after the opening quarter. BEST REWARD, on the inside, raced forwardlv placed to midway in the stretch, then tired, but was worked out to the mile in 1:41%. SARAH I.ORAiNE was done early. BLACK BADGE, away fast, raced in closest pursuit of VALDINA SENORA to the stretch, took command when the latter faltered, but was ridden out to increase his advantage. GRAMPS IMAGE, pinched back after the start, was outrun until reaching the stretch, came to the inside for the drive and closed with a ru h, giving a splendid performance. VALDINA SENORA went to the front soon after the start, set the pace for three eighths under pressure from BLACK BADGE and then faltered. FULMAR, on the inside, could not threaten the leaders when put to punishment in the stretch. DIAMOND DICK, on the outside throughout, raced evenly to the last eighth and then tired. AIR PATROL went wide the entire trip, losing all chance. GOOD GOING was done after three-sixteenths and had no excuses. RED WONDER began slowly and was never prominent. FIRE POWER was done early.
