PAT FULLER, crowded back when racing between horses early, was taken to the outside on the turn, responded to hard urging and was up in the final few yards. TROOP TRAIN, in a contending position early, moved up between horses on the turn, made a stout bid in the stretch and finished well. PUFFED UP moved up stoutly on the outside to take a short lead on the turn, drew clear and continued willingly. BETTY GRABLE, with the leaders from the start, gave way under pressure at the end. GHOST HUNT, away slowly, closed some ground. BRACE PLAY had good early speed, but flattened out AUNT LUCY could not keep up. BESSIE VANCE showed early speed. PONY EXPRESS, slow to settle in stride, improved his position on the outside in the backstretch, went around the field in the stretch and closed with a rush on the outside. ARIEL IMAGE, for-wardly placed from the beginning, moved up boldly to challenge in the stretch and hung on well. NINE R. TRAIN was crowded back in the backstretch, then came on when clear. ALL GOOD, sluggish early, secured room on the inside to move up and take a short lead on the turn, but was unable to keep up. TEMPLET could not threaten. MIBOB flashed early speed. DICKS GAL improved her position gradually, saved ground and finished stoutly, but was no match for the winner. WEE ADMIRAL had good early speed, disposed of JOYCE W. on the turn, but could not meet the challenge of the winner and weakened. EASY SPELL, unable to match the early speed of the leaders, finished well, but was not dangerous. MRS. VALENTI was done early. JOYCE W. was used up early and quit. BUILDER, prominent from the beginning, weakened under pressure in the drive. MENEITHER, outrun early, improved his position quickly on the turn and finished with a rush. GALLANTRY, forwardly placed from the beginning, went around the leaders readily when called upon on the turn, took command, drew clear and held PETES KID safe. The latter, slowest away, was outrun early, moved up with a rush on the turn and closed very fast. OLD LOVER trailed early, moved up very fast in the drive and finished fastest. SUNNY BETTY was roused to move into closer contention after a half mile, but hung. THE McCLAIN, very sluggish early, was in close quarters on the inside in the backstretch, but finished stoutly when clear. ROYAL WHIRL could not keep up. MICHIGAN CHEVY quit badly after setting the pace for a half mile. SPARKER had speed for a half mile, then quit badly. STIPPLER, unable to match the speed of the early leaders, quit badly in a very dull effort. Overweight Sunny Betty, 2 pounds. . , Gallantry claimed by Mrs. N. E.
