IRISH COUNT outbroke his field, was rushed into command, bore out entering the stretch and, under pressure, held his opposition safe. POMPALADE was well up from the beginning, responded in the stretch and held on well. SUN IRELAND was sent up fast after the beginning, moved up on the outside rounding the stretch turn, but could not improve position at the end. LUCKY REWARD was steadied along, but close up, responded in the stretch and finished well. RECKON was shuffled back early, . Improved his position when clear and finished well. FRERE MARKETTE closed willingly at the end. JIVE was a forward factor, then tired. HYFLARE was sent up on the inside for the stretch run, then tired. DASHBOARD had a flash of early speed. WAR BATTLE was steadied along while jumping well, moved up when urged and finished with a rush on the inside. LANCASTRIAN was steadied along, improved, his position when roused and finished fast on the inside. FLOATING ISLE hobbled at several of his fences, responded when urged and finished well. The latter dwelt at the start, slipped through on the inside to assume command and raced BELLWETHER into defeat, then faltered. BLUE PAL was roused entering the stretch and finished well. The latter was sent through on the inside for the stretch, made a determined bid and held on well. LET ME THRU made a determined bid in the stretch, then hung. HIGHFORTITIDIES was sluggish early but made up some ground at the end. BLUE GEM showed an even effort. EASTONIAN and UNCLE MAC both quit badly.
