ROSE CANYON, far back and outrun to the upper turn, came to the inside entering the stretch and, finishing willingly under punishment, wore down the leaders to win going away. ONE CENTURY, roughed at the first turn and far back for a half, improved his position steadily thereafter and, responding to urging during the drive, closed stoutly, but could not get to the winner. K. DURABLE, never far back, went to the front in the stretch, but could not retain his advantage under strong handling. SWIFT ACTION, on the outside throughout, made a good bid entering the stretch, then faltered. AGRARIAN SON quit badly after racing prominently to the stretch CORYDON never was dangerous and saved ground for the entire trip. BELMIKE, on the outside, was done after the half. FIGHTING MAC had early speed. GENIES MATE began fast, then quit Scratched-004342 Pink Devil, 105; 006432 Thormond, 112. Attendance, 13,000 Estimated; Total Mutuel Pool, 92,645.
