Floyd Astride 43.Winners In 20 Days at Fairmount FAIRMOUNT PARK, Collinsville, 111., June 22. When he drove home five winners on the Friday program at Fairmount Park apprentice Billy Floyd became the first reinsman to accomplish the feat during the current session. Including the racing of Friday the Phoenix, Arzi., youngster has piled up 43 victories in 20 days of the present season and needs but seven more scores to tie the all-time high of 50 at a single meeting. J. D. Jessop piloted 50 winners last spring here in 22 days and should the westerner continue his present good riding form could tie or better the mark made by the 1945 riding champion. Until Jessop rode half a hundred winners last spring the former record was held by Marcos Pena, who returned to the winners circle 48 times in 24 days of racing.
