GIANT SERVANT was steadied closest to the pace of TOP SERGEANT, raced the latter into submission on the final turn and drew out to win with something in reserve. TOP SERGEANT was steadied in front with a short lead, saved ground, but could not resist the winner. QUEEN ISLAM moved into closer contention after a half mile, finished well on the outside, but could not threaten the first two. SINGLE UP raced evenly and forwardly, but was unable to improve her position. CANT CATCH made a bid to reach the leaders on the far turn, but weakened. The others were never dangerous.
