Suffolk Trims Distribution In Second Condition Book SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass.. May 6. — The established policy during the first phases of the meeting of offering a purse of ,000 or more daily has been abandoned, according to the second edition of the condition book recently released. According to racing secretary John P. Turner, it was decided to trim the daily distribution because of the poor weather and consequent drop in mutuel handle. Turner says that if the play picks up after the second 12-day period of the meeting, the ,000 daily feature probably will be restored. The original plan had been to distribute the previously announced purse schedule whether or not the races filled.
