Kentucky Board Takes Heverly Appeal Under Advisement CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 6. — Hearing on the appeal of C. C. Heverly, trainer, from an order suspending him for the inconsistent racing efforts of the horse Graustark at Keeneland, opened before the State Racing Commission at a meeting in the clubhouse here this morning. After hearing trainer Heverly and M. Eckman, whose wife owns the horse, and Walter Coleman and Roscoe Goose, representing the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association, the commissioners voted to take the matter under advisement and set another meeting for next Tuesday morning. Members of the State Racing Board attending the meeting were Vertner D. Smith, who acted as chairman; Baylor O. Hickman, Harris Wheeler and Mrs. Edward D. Shinnick, secretary. Chairman Leslie Combs II., who is ill at his Spendthrift Farm home, and A. B. Gay were the commissioners absent.
