Good Break Will Try For Repeat Win Today Five A. M. and War Edict Among Seven Rivals in Miles Purse FAIR GROUNDS, Detroit, Mich., June 26. Racing moves into its sixth week at this Motor City course with the program of Monday and, while the card is given over to the lesser lights of the local racing colony, there is a definite promise of keen competition in each ot the events. Eight good distance racers meet under claiming conditions in the mile and a sixteenth seventh race, titled the Paul Miles, to provide a headliner. Considerable interest is manifest in the seventh race, a test at one mile and seven-sixteenths over the turf course while novice riders will be in action in the first test of the day and a likely looking band of juveniles has been assembled in the Scott Williams Purse at five furlongs that is fifth on the program. In the Miles, several of the eight rivals have shown to advantage in their local campaigns. Mrs. J. Bartletts Good Break has had two tallies at this meeting and, while he is moving up a little in .claiming value from his latest success, he accomplished that score so easily that he must be accorded a chance to repeat. M. H. VanBergs Five A. M. was soundly trounced while finishing second in his latest essay and was winner earlier at the meeting. War Edict must be considered a definite threat after his" latest race which saw him winner while carrying a ,000 claiming tag. Theodore D. Buhls Sweep Swinger will make his first local appearance of the season here and his rest may find nim in top shape to show improvement over his third at ChurchilltDowns. Detroit Stables Bay Acre numbers a victory among his several good efforts. Dover Road and Reno Uptart have both shown enough to compel v consideration for their chances in a very evenly balanced field.
