WENT TO POST-2.-37. OFF AT 2:37 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. LATE SHIP was under restraint while kept within striking distance of the leaders, responded willingly when put to a drive entering the stretch and wore down TIZZY in the final strides. The latter was hustled to the front at the start, drew out to a commanding lead while saving ground thereafter, but was unable to resist the winner. ALVINS MOM lacked early speed and was a distant trailer to the far turn, improved position swiftly on the final turn and closed fastest of all. DAWN CAN was a forward factor to the stretch, then weakened. SERENA raced closest to the pace to the stretch, then tired. MISS FIGHTER appeared to lack racing room while endeavoring to launch a rally leaving the backstretch, was taken up and was never a factor thereafter. MUSICAL COMEDY was within striking distance of the leaders from the start, was taken to the outside while challenging entering the stretch, but was not good n.ugil1.SUBDUE was a,lowed to settle in best stride, came between horses for the drive and held on well GAL ANN was prominently placed throughout and had no mishap. HYPEACE was in the thick of contention from the beginning, came between COUNT EDBURN and CONVICTED while rallying in the final seventy yards and outlasted rivals in the closing strides. CONVICTED was knocked off stride when HYPEACE came over while improving position leaving the half-mile pole, was carried slightly wide by the winner entering the stretch and fought it out willingly in the drive. COUNT EDBURN was hustled to the front at the beginning gave way momentarily to GRAY CHARMER at the quarter-mile pole, came again on the inside to assume the lead entering the stretch and held on well. H00SIER BOY was slow to settle into best stride and came between horses while improving position in the early stretch. HOLLY RIDGE had early speed. ARIEL SWEEP was hustled to the front shortly after the beginning, disposed of WARMOUD after the opening quarter, but had to be keot to strong pressure to hold FRIAR TUCK safe thereafter. FRIAR TUCK raced in nearest pursuit of the leader from the half-mile pole, made repeated challenges to wrest the lead, but wasnt good enough. EQUISUN was prominently placed from the start and held on well in a drive. POLLYS DELAY was in a contending position in the early stretch, but weakened slightly in the final sixteenth. ETERNAL WAY was shuffled back after the beginning, was taken to the outside while improving position to the stretch, came very wide for the drive and closed willingly WARMOUD had brief early speed. VAUDEVILLE was hustled to the front shortly after the start, saved ground while setting the pace and gave ground grudgingly in the final drive. BRIAR WHITE improved his position gradually on the inside and held on well. DR. ALMAC was slow to settle into best stride came slightly wide for the drive, but wasnt good enough. LUCKY DRAW outbroke his field but was quickly taken in hand, was steadied within easy striking distance of ON THE RIVERS pace, disposed of that one leaving the five and one-half furlongs pole, drew out to a clear lead to the stretch, gave way to MOTHER just beyond the sixteenth pole, then came on again when shaken up to be drawing out at the wire MOTHER was allowed to settle into best stride, improved position swiftly to press the pace leaving the backstretch, got to the front on the outside of the winner leaving the sixteenth pole, but was not good enough MIST O GOLD weakened gradually in the stretch.
