Cartwright to Ride at Detroit CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 11. — Apprentice Norman Cartwright, currently one of the leading first year riders at the Downs, left this morning for the impending Fair Grounds session in the Motor City. Cartwright is under contract to James C. Ellis and, his engagement book will be handled by agent Bill Berry.
