HUACHINANGO, outrun early, worked his way up on the outside, finished fast through the stretch and drew away at the end. ACCIPITER, on the inside in the stretch and in close quarters, finished fast when clear. LA MODE improved her position in the late stages, finished well through the stretch, but hung at the finish. RAW CORD raced forwardly from the start and then held on well to finish in a dead-heat with HIDDEN FIRE. The latter moved up on the outside rounding the stretch urn, assumed command, but then faltered. RAT-TAT had early speed, but lugged over en ACCIPITER through the stretch. BRIDAL SHOWER moved up fast on the outside after the start to assume a safe lead and finished with speed in reserve. STEFANELLA, well up and in near pursuit of the pace, outlasted FURBELOW. The latter was quick to begin, dropped back, but saved ground and came again. IDA C. was sent up fast on the outside, but faltered in the stretch run. DAY SHIFT raced evenly. PHARA SURPRISE, on the inside in the early running, drifted out slightly in the stretch run, then hung at the finish. GRATEFUL had early speed, but quit under urging. BOMBCASE was steadied along in the running, but moved up fast on the outside on the stretch turn, assumed command inside the final furlong, hung slightly and then came again to outfinish BUVEL. The latter was kept forwardly from the start, saved ground on the turns, assumed command in the final seventy yards, but hung right near the end. LIGHTNING BUG was outrun to the far turn, where he was placed under severe punishment and made up ground slowly between horses RAUCOUS was close to the early pacemaker, but tired badly. PETITION had early speed, but tired under urging. UNAPPROCHABLE was never dangerous. The others were never formidable. Overweight— Petition, 1 pound. Raucous claimed by Rarco Stable. DOBODURA improved her position steadily, overcame minor interference on the far turn and at the stretch turn, slipped through on the inside when the leaders bore out, responded to urging and drew clear at the end. HALCONERO was taken under restraint when outrun, moved up on the outside rounding to the stretch turn, made a determined bid inside the final furlong, but then hung. GASPARILLA was on the outside and, steadied along, disposed of ALL IN FUN on the stretch turn, assumed command, but then faltered.
