First of Expensive Quartet SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May ii, — The victory of Mrs. F. A. Genters Unbridled in the opening dash on Tuesday marked the initial triumph of a quartet of juveniles that trainer Melvin "Sunshine" Calvert is preparing for later stakes events. The victorious son of Unbreakable — Lark Song was purchased from the Keeneland sales for ,600. Others in the Genter string, purchased from the sales, are Blue Gentian, a bay filly by Blue Larkspur-Deceptive who brought 8,000 from the consignment of Dr. C. E. Hagyard; Apache Trail, a chestnut colt by War Relic — Transy, purchased for ,600, and Peter A., a bay son of Man ONight — Arousement, for ,000. All of the youngsters have been named to the important juvenile events on the Eastern Seaboard, including the Bay State Kindergarten Stakes, to be run here on May 21.
