Commission Rulings Reported to Daily Racing Form At its meeting yesterday, the Illinois Racing: Board amended Rule 138 of its rules of racing to read as follows: "A duly licensed apprentice who is injured in the conduct of his duties or who for any valid reason is prevented from performing his duties-as an apprentice jockey, may apply to the Illinois Racing Board requesting that time lost by reason of such injury or other valid reason, be not deducted from the time of. one year after riding his first winner. The Illinois Racing Board, after being advised of all the facts pertaining to the application of the apprentice may, in its own discretion, refuse or grant said request. If said request is granted the Illinois Racing Board may allow all said time lost or any part thereof not to be deducted from one year after said apprentice rides his first winner." The petitions for reinstatment of William B. Harrison, a trainer, and Clarence Peter Folz, a groom, were turned down.
