► Illinois Notes LINCOLN FIELDS -AT -WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, 111., May 20. War Ruler, owned by Norman J. Miller, was brought in from Churchill Downs today by trainer Leslie Thompson and bedded down in the stabling area at this course. Fosters Pride and Pennant O War, owned by H. Kennedy, arrived here from New England today and C. H. Pinon added the pair to the string he is training. Southern Pride headed the unit trainer A. Perossier brought here today from Churchill Downs for owner M. J. Dant. The others in the shipment were Mountain Roar, Miss Golightly, Wild Justice, Just-asnack and Hard Hitter. Mrs. Kay Walsh, who until a few years ago served at the various tracks on this circuit as a secretary for officials, gave birth to a nine-pound two-ounce baby boy at St. Anne Hospital in Chicago yesterday. Both are "doing fine, according to reports. The child is the second for Mrs. Walsh. Owner-trainer Milton Resseguet today purchased, at an undisclosed sum, Jacks Niece from Mrs. J. S. Letellier. Andy Clutter who had a division of the Helen S. Reineman horses in his charge at Randall Park before it was returned here last week to join the main unit, checked in today from the Ohio track. Clutter is assisting trainer Ralph C. Baltimore, who has the Chicago sportswomans horses at Washington Park. Trainer William H. Bishop, acting for the Eldorado Farm, today sold at private terms the sprinter, Liberate, to P. W. Shaufelberger, who will also train the five-year-old gelded son of Blenheim IE. Trainer S. J. Molay brought in a half-dozen performers from Louisville, Ky., today and quartered the group at this track. Owned by various parties, the shipment was comprised of Sir Blasker, Warsick, Bowfend, Givitome, Prissy Pair and Private Joe.
