Crack Field of Sprinters In Thistle Down Offering Entry of Spry Chick, Queen Gohi Likely to Be Favored at Randall RANDALL PARK, North Randall, Ohio, May 20. — The Franklin Lewis Handicap at six furlongs will bring together 11 of the top sprinters at this course in its role as the featured offering for tomorrows nine-race program. C. T. Hall and J. P. Fetzer, who, in partnership, own one of the most prominent thoroughbred farms in this state at the nearby town of Van Wert, haye named a powerful duo of performers in Spry Chick and Queen Gohi. Both of, these sprinters are partial to an "off" racing strip, which apears in prospect for tomorrows sport. Last Wednesday; the Arizona-bred Spry Chick was a mildly surprising winner at six furlongs, managing to be up in the closing strides for a nose decision over Jim Boy-H. Two of her foes tomorrow, Samuel J. Browns Good Hostess and Sportshop Stables Bubs Folly, finished behind Spry Chick in this event, adding to the latter mares favoritism in the Franklin Lewis. Queen Gohi is a capable running mate and is ideally suited to set the early pace. This will afford a double threat, as Spry Chick is habitually tardy in reaching her best stride, although possessing whirlwind speed in the final stretch run. •Radar Man, racing in the interest of Mrs. L. McKnight, is, by far, the classiest member of the field, having been a stakes performer in his younger days. Radar Man is hindered by weak front legs, however, and pulled up slightly "dinky" following his»last effort, in which he was .a driving ■winner in the one mile an 70 yards Lake-wood Purse. He has speed to be a stout contender from the beginning, and definitely shapes up as the "one to beat." Of the remaining entrants, the most distinctive is A.. E. Harpers speedster, Blue Missy. She turned in an especially sharp effort earlier this week in being narrowly beaten by Oom Paul in 1:12, the fastest time posted- for the six furlongs during this meeting. Her main handicap is her age; being a three-year-old filly competing against older horses.- - •
