Closing of Alger Memorial FAIR GROUNDS, Detroit, Mich., May 20. —Entries for the 5,000 Colonel F. M. Alger Memorial Handicap, which will be run Monday, May 30, are to close tomorrow, Saturday, May 21. Three-year-olds and older are eligible to the nine furlongs handicap stake. The ,500 Grosse Point Handicap, six furlongs, for horses from similar age divisions, also closes for entries tomorrow and it is to be decided here on Wednesday, June 1.
