; Delegate Heads Sixteen Nominations for Steger Next Saturdays Lincoln Stake For Three-Year-Olds and Upward WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, HI., May 20. — The Woolford Farms crack sprinter, Delegate, heads 16 thoroughbreds that have been nominated for the 0,000 added Steger Handicap, racing secretary and handicapper Lawrence C. Bogenschutz revealed today. The fleet thoroughbred, who began his Illinois campaign on opening day by capturing the Crete Handicap, undoubtedly will draw top weight when Bogenschutz releases his allotments next week. With Pleasure, owned by Oscar J. Breault, is the second most highly regarded in the field. He also competed in the Crete and showed a corking performance in view of the fact that it was his first start since last fall. The Steger is for three-year-olds and upward and will be run at six and one-half furlongs next Saturday, May 28.
