SAM NORRIS gained command soon after the start, drew out readily and was never in danger. SUNAWAY, slow to begin, worked her way up on the inside and finished with good energy. THREE PASSES had speed from the start, but weakened in the late stages. RED FLARE closed stoutly between horses. BARNACLE was never a serious factor. CECROPS flattened out when put to a drive. GREAT BEYOND went evenly. ANAKO trailed most of the trip. DUSTY DAYS was timidly handled in the early stages. CROSS LU quit. LIBERTY TRITE worked her way up on the outside, responded to stout pressure, was kept in the better going and drew clear in the final sixteenth mile. FLY PIGEON improved position gradually to close with good energy. YARMOUTH FLARE, outrun to the final quarter mile, closed with a belated rush between horses. PILGRIM MAID outran field to take the lead early and saved ground while setting the pace, .then weakened under pressure. SPEEDEE BOZO was unable to keep up. SHUCKINS had no mishap. DISPUTANTA slipped through on the inside to take an early lead, widened margin, was allowed to go into the far turn at full speed, raced to the extreme outside, then came Zj back in and was catching the winner at the end. PLUCKY PRINCE broke well, was taken under restraint early, P made repeated challenges after a half and tired at the end. COMETS FLASH passed tiring horses. BATTLE 50 CLAMP flattened out badly. Won driving; second and third the same. FLARES DURBAR, taken under light restraint when unable to outrun the leaders, moved readily when set down, came around the leaders on the turn and drew out under urging. DANCE PRETTY, slow to settle into best strida, moved with a belated rush in the final stages. SASON was under pressure to take command and held sway for six furlongs, then started to shorten stride. AUTOMATON finished well. LENNIE BOY flattened out after seven furlongs. GLENWOOD BOY was never prominent. GALAXY quit badly. OUR BIRTHDAY was outrun.
