PASTY JO raced prominently all the way, disposed of LITTLE BIMBI when ready and increased her advantage thereafter under stern punishment. LITTLE BIMBI went to the front early, but weakened-when set down for the final test and could not hold the winner. JOSEPH JR. lacked early speed, but closed with a belated rush and was getting to the leaders. TIGER VALLEY had no mishap. SWESTEEL could not keep up. REBATE and POLITICS lacked speed. JATAK sprinted into a clear lead When GAY LIBERTY bolted on the far turn, made the pace to the stretch under steady rating and had enough left to prevail over WISE TRICK. The latter steadily improved his position from a sluggish beginning and closed resolutely in a good effort. JECCA raced evenly through the stretch without mishap. NEWLOOK tired under punishment. BONNIE FOI quit. GAY LIBERTY bolted on the far turn and lost all chance. PROUD JACK ran out on each turn and was never prominent. Overweight— Newlook, 5 pounds; Bonnie Foi, 1. NOTCHSTICK was hustled to the front immediately after the start, gave way momentarily to DASHA on the far turn, responded gamely when roused for the drive and, while racing in the middle of the track, drew clear under pressure. INDIAN GOLD came to the outside of NOTCHSTICK during the final stages, but could not overtake the latter when hard ridden. DASHA took command with a rush before going three furlongs, then faltered. BLUE DAZE was outrun. PAR EXCELLENCE raced greenly. LITTLE TULIP was forced to take up sharply when in close quarters soon after the break and never recovered. FIFTH RACE 3-4 MILE out of chute. MISS QUINLAN, always a forward factor, overtook POLLY K. in the final strides and drew out under stern handling. POLLY K. held a clear lead inside the furlong marker, but faltered suddenly near the finish and could not outgame the winner. HOOT MON failed to make up appreciable ground when called upon for his best effort PEACEFUL GENIE lacked a closing rally. BETROUM was fractious at the post,, injuring his rider, showed good early spede, then quit GAY MADELYN was pinched back near the half-mile post, saved ground to no avail. MISS TARTAN, under steadying restraint to the stretch, withstood PATMIBOY in a long drive. PATMIBOY finished determinedly on the outside and was steadily getting to the winner. KNIHTS HILL, away tardily as usual, ducked between horses inside the stretch and finished with good courage. DOUBLE FEATURE drifted out on the final turn and finished next to the outside fence.
