La Place to Ride at Camden GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 23.— Donald La Place, under contract to Hirsch Jacobs, will make his New Jersey debut this week. He has been leased from Jacobs by trainer William Manzi. La Place is a 19-year-old Brooklyn lad who is capable of making 104 pounds. His engagements will be handled by Paul Spizuco, who also looks after jockey Willie Emery.
