Divide Ak-Sar-Ben Inaugural; Dozen Sprinters in Each Half ► Dad and Silver Fire Carry Top Imposts While Meeting Fast Rivals at Omaha Today AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Neb., May 23.— The Ak-Sar-Ben Inaugural Handicap, annual opening day feature at this fashionable Omaha course, attracted such a large and formidable group of classy sprinters that it was necessary to split the six-fur- j long event into two divisions of 12 horses each. After conferring with general manager Jake Isaacson, racing secretary and handicapper Raleigh Leigh announced that both divisions would carry the original endowment of ,500. In addition to the afternoons salient features six other well diversified contests are offered on the stellar agenda, which should prove rather interesting from a wagering standpoint. The first division of the Inaugural, which is carded as the sixth race, includes W. D. Rorick and L. O. Lanes Dad, who was assigned the top impost of 119 pounds. In addition to Dad, who was recently acquired by his new owners via the claiming box from William Hal Bishop, the group also includes R. Lowes Fine Fettle, who has been accorded the burden of 114 and who was "recently purchased in Kentucky from the Calumet Farm of Warren Wright. Fine Fettle, four-year-old gelded progeny of Chance Play — Nellie L, accounted for one victory during the recently concluded Kentucky season and, if past performances can be used as a criterion should" prove victorious over the group against whom he will match strides tomorrow. Comprising the remainder of the field with their respective weights are such other capable sprinters as J. W. Sniders Blue Agent, 113; Erin Go Brough Stables Dicks Agent, 112; Thomas J. Berrys Risky Hash, 110; Mrs. M. Burtons Royal Tulip and J. J. Arps Foxy No Mark, both of whom will be asked to carry 109; L. C. Blacks Reddy Boy and H. F. Luers Capt. Patti, each 108; Samuel Tolletts Mark the Spot, 107; Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Hawkins My Pop, 106; and D. Bass Mary-Esther, 103. Post Time 2:00 Daily J. T. Nissings Silver Fire, topweighted in the second half with the assessment of 115 pounds, will, in all probability, answer the bugle as the public choice. This second division has been carded as the seventh race on the program and should prove equal in every respect with the first. Others slated to match strides against the Nissing performer include Floyd Williams All Yen, 108; M. J. Sulas Non Ferro, 108; Donna Seif reds Loma Mar Jim, 108; Thomas Westrppes Royal Pigeon, 107; J. J. Eck-roshsBen B, 106; E. J. Plumbs Saxon Door, 106; J. J. Arps Jess D, 105; J. Holli-days Doris-H, 104; Guy and Walter Shultzs Namur, 103; Mrs. M. Woodworths Pronto Wash, 102, and G. T.
