FERRY PILOT forced the pace under restraint, took command when ready and held DARBY DOODIT safe under mild urging. The latter, reserved for a half, went up to be prominent in the stretch, but was not good enough. EVENING STORY finished willingly after a slow beginning. NARCISSUS had no excuse. HAIR STYLIST challenged on the rail entering the stretch and gave way. TATERS quit after making the pace for a half. Attendance, 15,147; Total Mutuel Pool/ 34,932.
