T. Babin; bred by Ralph B. Strassburger. WENT TO P0ST-5:37. OFF AT 5:371 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. MARSEILLES assumed command on the inside after a .quarter mile, drew clear, remained along the rail when challenged, continued on gamely coming out slightly in the drive, but had enough left to earn a dead-heat with RUDDY GLOW. The latter worked his way up on the outside, drew abreast of the leaders leaving the furlong pole and bore in badly, impeding KANKEEKEE. The latter was steadied close to the pace, rallied when roused, drew on even terms with the leaders, then was pinched back nearing the end. FOXY SCOT, a forward factor along the inside, was caught in close quarters as the leaders crowded nearing the end. INNATE, slow to settle into stride, closed with a rush in the late stages. LADY CAVITE was never prominent. GERONIMO went evenly. ARIDISICAL was through early. A claim of foul against MARSEILLES and RUDDY GLOW resulted in the latter being disqualified and placed third. The official placing was MARSEILLES, KANKEEKEE, RUDDY GLOW. Scratched-74837 Big Teddy, 111; 74310 Iced Over, 106; 74550 Harsam, 109; 74932 Pennypacker, 117.
