BUSY WHIRL, steadied along while saving ground early, was eased out and came between horses when rallying for the stretch drive and outfinished SICKLE SUE. The latter followed in close attendance to the pace, raced on the oTnnf. thro,u9nout moved UP boldly under pressure nearing the final furlong, but hung near the end. MAELSTROM broke slowly, was rushed up between horses rounding the turn and, under strong handling through the ast quarter, closed a big gap. PENNY DREADFUL made a bold bid rounding-the stretch turn, but had little o.,K£h,?n«tJ!?.real test came- GOLDEN VIXEN was well placed from the beginning, but lacked a closing rally. SILVER REWARD was left at the break, improved his position steadily and finished full of run. CROONER quit to a walk after setting a fast pace to the early stretch. FULLY AWARE, away with the top flight, was between "horses to the last eighth where he wrested command from LURING and, under a hard drive, was best. The latter had good speed from the beginning, drifted slightly to the inside during the first quarter and, while not able to resist the top one, held on stubbornly. CARRYALL gave way under punishment in the last furlong after showing good speed. ROPE TRICK broke very slowly, improved his position steadily when put to pressure but was never a serious threat SCOTCH JEWEL could not keep up. EMERALD BELLE was outrun. ELMONT, held in reserve while following in close attendance to the leaders, began to advance after the fourth hurdlle, ranged up boldly to wear down ENON nearing the last hedge and, under continued pressure, gradually drew out. QUIET steadied along to the sixth hurdle, improved his position steadily thereafter and, while no threat to the top one, appeared best of the others. STRATEGY made the pace after the third hurdle but gave way badly when put to pressure on the tenth hedge. SKYSCRAPER had no apparent mishaps. SOCIABILITY made a bad bobble on the first hurdle and was outrun thereafter. TOUGH was always far back. ENON rallied after the seventh hurdle to move up boldly to the winner, headed him clearing the last hurdle, but fell while making a bad landing. GREEK SHIP was under energetic handling early to attain a contending position, rallied under strong handling through the last quarter to wear down DETECTIVE and was up in the closing strides. The latter responded to urging to displace BOSS YAM after three-eighths and, under a sustained drive, just failed to last SHOCK was never a great distance back, raced true, but tired under pressure in the late stages. OILOMACY moved up boldly between horses after a quarter to head the winner approaching the last furlong, -but had nothing; left when the real test came. BOSS YAM had high speed to the final furlong, where he tired while under extreme pressure. THE PROCURATOR was . swerving much of the way. RED CAMELIA stumbled at the start, was steadied while saving ground to the turn, found racing room on the rail in the early stretch and made up ground fast LATEST VOGUE was carried wide on the stretch turn and responded gamely to urging when straightened away, then closed well. PELLA moved boldly to the pacemaker nearing the final quarter, drifted out while under strong handling and held on fairly well when straightened away. ADMIRED was used up in the early running.
