Expect Oxmoor Steeplechase To Draw Formidable Field LOUIS VHjLE, Ky., May 23.— The Oxmoor Steeplechase, at about two and one-half miles for four-year-olds and upward over the brush course, headlines next Saturdays day of steeplechasing held annually on the estate of William Marshall Bullitt. The salient feature will carry an endowment of 00 and, one of the most formidable fields in the history of the event is expected to parade postward. Thomas W. Bullitt, chairman of the race committee which also includes Lowry Wat-kins, Charles J. Cronan, Morgan Galloway, Earl Major, Donald McLean, Roscoe Dalton, William J. Martin, and Charles Dunne, announced that entries for the seven-race card would officially close early this week but that supplementary nominations for the various contests would be accepted during the next several days.
