COO, outrun to the last three-eighths, was sent to the outside for the stretch run and, finishing strongly, wore down the leaders to win going away. TIMMY, far back to the final quarter, closed with a rush, but could not reach the winner. WOW, much used racing APPLEJACK JAKE into defeat, had nothing left for the drive. BIG AFFAIR had early speed, but failed to stay. MANEEN was never dangerous. JUST-MADE-IT failed to respond when hard ridden through the stretch. OMINOUS could not keep up. APPLEJACK JAKE, slow to begin, was hustled to the front before going a quarter, raced well for five-eighths, then gave way. Scratched— 75614 Mio Lips, 115.
