CONSIDERED shook off MARENGO to gain a clear lead, weakened slightly in the final furlong and was roused mildly. MY NELL lacked early speed, but turned in a good effort while closing full of run. PLUMELETTE had speed in spots. EVEN LATER raced well placed, but failed to rally. MARENGO was used up pressing the pace of the winner. LUCKY HARP was bothered repeatedly and had no chance. ICY STARE was green and attempted to bolt in the early stretch. WEATHER DECK broke tardily. CRYSTAL PASS was taken up early and lost all chance. PENNY HILL quit to a walk after three furlongs. GLEN ARVIS, away alertly and always a factor, saved ground to assume command inside the furlong pole and outfinished CHL0E -The latter raced with the pace from the beginning, assumed a slight lead briefly at the furlong pole, but was not good enough. MY ROSE, slow to settle in stride, closed best of all. GOLD JINTOWN was shuffled back while on the inside rounding the turn, then closed willingly when clear. IDA C. weakened when unable to attain command. AIROLO showed her usual early speed and quit SAFETY CATCH broke alertly and was knocked out Af contention leaving the backstretch. There was no claim of foul. JALEEN pressed the pace to the stretch and faltered. ISLE OF MIST could not seriously threaten after being knocked back early. TIDE RIPS was nicely rated while establishing the pace and was only mildly urged to last over OCEAN FRONT. The latter was always prominent, but could not get to the top one in the final strides. LARAN, under restraint to the stretch, closed willingly. INSEPARABLE tried to get out early and raced on the outside throughout while turning in a good effort. WOODFORD SIR, hard held while pressing the pace, flattened out when set down. COINCIDENCE turned in a dull effort. HASH NIGHT raced forwardly to the stretch, then faltered badly. The latter held a commanding lead much of the way and held on when roused, but was not good enough. TEMERU lacked a rally. SCOTCH PLAINS caught tired horses. BALLIOL showed nothing.
