Good Goods, the sire of Alsab, is 5 honored in having the best event of the I afternoon named for him. It is made up of f eight horses, including the double entry of f William Hal Bishop, leading owner and trainer here, who has elected to try with j First Tenet, a recent claim, and Barbazure, * a three-time winner at the meeting. Others s in the field are Ada Wellmans Easy Buy, i Ben Fogelsons Opening Day, J. T. Beck- lians Thunderjet, W. T. Beezleys Jim j Boy-H, Blossom Stables Futuresque and Dan Cataldos Castile. Futuresque, who has registered two re-0 cent impressive triumphs, and Barbazure are the topweight horses with 120 pounds i each. First Tenet, Easy Buy, Opening Day, and Thunderjet are also winners at the 2 meeting, which leaves Castile and Jim 1 Boy-H to earn brackets. Castile has, how-k ever, been the victim of bad racing luck in 1 his last two starts. First time out he was [ virtually left at the post, while in his last start the Cataldo racer was so seriously im- - peded by Fighting Cloud that the latter r was disqualified thereby, enabling Barbazure . to earn his third purse, he having t finished second: Castile was third in the a race and moved to second place through J Fighting Clouds setback. The distance of f the Good Goods will be one and one -six -- teenth miles. Jockey Harold Keene, who Friday announced " his intention of retiring for the 2 meeting, has changed his plans and will be B in action Monday. He will pilot one of the e two Bishop horses in the feature. Skoron-- ski, with Saturdays races yet to be run, lf was four winning mounts up on Keene.
