Roy D. Compton Dies CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 12. — Roy D. Compton, of Edinburg, Ind., succumbed yesterday after suffering injuries in an automobile accident near his home city, where he was engaged in the dairy business. Compton also owned a string of thoroughbreds, trained by Ward Davis and quartered at Churchill Downs. Funeral services for Compton are to be held Monday.
