63,000 at Corpus Christi Procession at Downs Course LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 30.— The Churchill Downs race course was the scene of the twenty-fifth annual Holy Name Corpus Christi procession, which attracted approximately 63,000 persons. Members of the Catholic faith, as well as their non-Catholic friends, attended the procession, which has Joeen held at the Derby track for the past several years. Tom Young, general superintendent of the Downs, turned the massive plant in its entirety over to archbishop John Florish for the afternoons festivities. This years Corpus Christi procession was dedicated to the Almighty in a special petition for Pope Pius X, whose beatification will take place in Rome, Sunday, June 3.
