Womens Bowling Congress Meet Set for Detroit in 1953 SEATTLE, Wash., May 30 UP .—Detroit was selected as the 1953 tournament city at the Womens International Bowling Congress business meeting here last night. Detroit beat Syracuse, N. Y., on a vote of 263 to 210 for the 1953 meet. Omaha, Nebr., was eliminated in preliminary balloting. The WIBCs 473 delegates also re-elected Jeanette Knepprath of Milwaukee as president. She has held the post since 1924. Others re-elected were vice-president Alberta Crowe of Liverpool, N. Y., and fifth vice-president Mildred White of Rock-ford, 111. Three executive board members reelected were Mrs. Pearl Switzer of South Bend, Ind., Mrs. Bertha McBride of St. Paul, Minn., ,and Georgia Veatch of Chicago.
