: 1 UP News Briefs Predicts Vaccine for Polio There is a "chance" that a safe, effective vaccine will be developed for polio within the next 10 years, a bacteriologist said yesterday. Dr. Albert Milzer, director of bacteriology and virology at Michael Reese Hospital, was interviewed at the 51st annual convention of the society of American bacteriologists. "There have been some tremendous strides," Milzer said. "I believe we may have a solution in five td 10 years." By solution, Milzer said, he meant vaccine.
