DiMaggio Out for Week Joe Di Maggio was sidelined with a pulled muscle in his left calf Saturday and Manager Casey Stengel said the star center, fielder might be out of the line-up a week. Di Maggio suffered the injury when he made a long, hard run to catch Bob Dillingers line drive in the eighth inning of Friday nights 4 to 2 Yankee victory.
