Dorland to Offer Five Head at Summer Sales Four Fillies and One Colt, AH By Successful Sires/ in Group - LEXINGTON, Ky., June 9.— With one exception, the entire crop of yearlings raised at Grant A. Doriands Roseland Farm, will be sent through the ring at the summer sale of selected yearlings conducted at Keeneland by the Breeders Sales Company July 30, 31 and August 1 and 2, This means that Dorland will be repre- sented by four fillies and a colt. The one exception is a colt who is being reserved for the fall sales. The Roseland Farm youngsters all are by successful sires and are from race mares representing good female families. The stallions represented are Discovery, Chal-ledon, Reaping Reward, Unbreakable and Roman. The lone colt in the consignment is by Reaping Reward from the useful mare Sirlette, a frequent winner in good company. He is the first foal of his dam and is of medium size and well proportioned. It is Doriands opinion that he will top the Roseland sale. Another first foal is a miss by Challedon — Mefly, by Menow. This youngster is perhaps the most striking in appearance of the Dorland group, being of good size and sturdy in conformation. Not so impressive in appearance, but tall and well-put-together is a bay filly by Discovery — Lady * Flares, by Flares. » •Following the pattern of many of the Romans in being somewhat on the small side, is a miss by that sire from Suzanne Peck, by Jean Valjean. This filly is the compact sort that finds favor_with certain buyers. In contrast, a brown"filly by Unbreakable — Stall Walker, by Bimelech, is inclined to be tall and slim. This is the second foal of* Stall Walker, who is a daughter of the good mare Pansy Walker.
