Annuals Negro Ail-Star Game At Comiskey Park August 17 Negro baseballs twentieth annual East vs. West all-star game will be played at Comiskey Park Sunday afternoon, August 17, it was announced here by Dr. J. B. Martin, president of the Negro American League, from his headquarters in Chicago. Comiskey Park has been the site of the game since its inception. The East team will comprise the top players of the Indianapolis Clowns, Philadelphia Stars and Birmingham Black Barons, the teams that comprise the eastern division of the Negro American League. The circuits western division clubs Chicago American Giants, Kansas City Mon-archs and Memphis Red Sox will furnish the West players. The West leads the series, 11 victories to eight with one game tied. The nation-wide poll of colored fans again will be utilized in helping select the player personnel. Another new innovation this year will be the selection of the East-West queen at the game. Winning girls from Chicago, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Birmingham, Philadelphia and Memphis will participate. The Chicago queen candidate will be selected in a contest in conjunction with Chicago American Giants doubleheaders at Comiskey Park July 6 and 13, against the Memphis Red Sox and Birmingham Black Barons, respectively.
