. 4 i Energetic Gets Call In Everglade Purse Arlingtons Seven-Furlong Event Draws Field of Six; Two Races on Grass Today ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, 111., June 28,-t-A ,000 claiming race for three-year-olds and up headlines the Mori-day race card as Arlington Park starts the third week of summer racing. The field of six includes several veteran campaigners and on the basis of records will be a pretty even match over" the seven-furlong route. Heading the list of campaigners is E. C. Roths Challcote, who has started 16 times this year and won once, placed five times and was third twice for a ,590. earnings record. Last year the four-year-old son of Challedon won three, was second seven times and third twice in 22 outings. He is f avorally weighted for the Everglade Purse with but 107 pounds. Fair Appraisal, from Fairway Farm, is another veteran of the track. The five-year-old mare by Reaping Reward has started 14 times this year but failed to hit the winners circle. She was second three times and ran third twice, the last time at Arlington Park behind Abbe Sting. L. R. Allison and M. R, Prestridge are sending out Stoner Creek, a winner in one race out of eight starts. The gelded son of Blenheim n. was fifth behind Touch of Dawn in her debut this summer at Arlington Park. Second to Ruthred Mrs. Herbert Herffs Energetic, who has started only once this year, is likely to be the favorite in the race. The seven-year-old son of Brazado won 5,165 last year in 18 starts, winning four and placing second and third three times each. Unbridled, owned by B. TV. Landy, was second to Ruth-red in her first effort at Arlington Park, which gives the son of Unbreakable a record of two seconds and. two thirds in seven starts this year. Fleet Factor, owned by Ray Wilkinson, completes the field. The five-year-old gelding has been out of the money in five starts this year after having won six times, three seconds and a third in 28 starts last year. Seven other races, most of them well-filled, will complete Mondays card. There will be one test for two-year-olds over the five and one-half furlong route, and another for two-year-old maidens over five furlongs. Two races will be run over the grass, one a five and one-half furlong dash, the other a mile and one-sixteenth event.
