ROMMEL Three-year-old who went very well against older in recent sprint. Was second to Pet Bully. ROMAN MISS Was racing well through the stretch in Artful Handicap when she was in close quarters. May not beat Real Delight, but has a chance with other fillies. IN COLVER Overcame difficulty in last start to be a romping winner. Should be capable of repeating. JUNIOR Ranwide all the way in last race and finished a good going third. Wants ,000 claiming price. SIDS PRIDE Maiden two-year-old with a good turn of early speed. Some day soon they may not catch this one. VAR Ran creditable race last out, although beaten off by Thank You Sir. Runs for ,500 claiming price and might be hard to beat over a distance. SO THERE Made up much ground in recent start in slop and was going very fast at the finish. Four-thousand-dollar claiming will catch. RECLINE Should find the proper spot right soon. Is in very good condition at present, but not quite of top handicap caliber. HEUTEL Is improving steadily and could be fair sort. Possesses a good measure of early speed and has been displaying courage in the stretch. OH LEO Backers should not be discouraged by last race. Did not like the going. Will be tough at six furlongs on a fast track.. 1 DETROIT MISSAB VanBerg mare broke kindly from gate the other morning and worked half mile in :48, handily. BIDDY BID Collins four-year-old filly recently stepped five furlongs in 1:01 J; handily. Any track suits. JOAN ANNE K. Capable filly over the middle distances, and she recently breezed an easy five furlongs in 1:03. NO NO ANNA Cheap but speedy filly comes from smartly-trained stable and she has been a half mile from gate in :48r-handily. LUCKY NED Hard-hitting middle-distance plater was trifle short in recent outing and will improve off that effort. SEDGEGOOD Cheap sprinter will make up for that recent disqualification and he moves up several lengths in the mud. SUPFKI Rough going in the Petoskey Purse may have cost the decision and capable of trimming same class field. REMLAP Maiden three-year-old in the Sowers-trained string raced well last week and due for early graduation. NICKIES BOY Speedy two-year-old needed his recent outing over the local strip and should beat same band in next engagement. HONEY-KIST Short in the St. Ignace Purse after making pace to last eighth and that race should serve as tightener. ZYBIE Bright Stables three-year-old maiden improves with racing and should soon visit winners ring. CEDRIC Raced impressively at mile and one-sixteenth and will do better against same grade rivals. AQUEDUCT HOOP ROLLER Made her debut under silks recently at this meeting and the outing should have brought- her closer to winning form. QUERY This ,500 claiming campaigner closed strongly in latest and appears capable of scoring at seven furlongs or a route. ME Went well in her debut and should not be long in earning a purse. MINE EYES A well - regarded juvenile who disappointed as favorite in first attempt, but broke sluggishly and encountered poor racing luck. NEWTON HIGH When asked to compete with a claiming tag attached this two-year-old filly could earn brackets. CHALLARIAN Had some speed and appeared short of a top effort in first try here. Could handle ,500 claimers. BOBS ACE This router is rounding to peak form and may score a surprise tally competing against ,000 claiming company. TOP STEP A useful three-year-old who could tally over a band of ,500 claiming sprinters. ADARO Came from far back to be second in first try after a freshening-up period. Could improve off the effort. HTERARCH Just failed in first attempt at a route. Deserves another chance against the same brand. NAVY FLASH This five-year-old mare has been working kindly and could take a top portion of a purse soon. GRANDAD Still a maiden, but morning trials indicate he is ready to graduate. t DELAWARE PARK AIR TOWN Closed well in debut and should handle maidens of the claiming variety. JAZERANT Beaten narrowly in seasonal bow and should score over similar company. TAHITI Galloped to victory in debut and is a possible Dover Stakes winner. FLOCO Raced well in late stages of last and could earn brackets in final week. RAIL CREEK Elevated a bit too much for last engagement and needs only more favorable placing. BULLOW Couldnt handle the going when a beaten favorite in her last appearance. PAMPAS BEAUTY Has raced well locally and should not linger in the maiden ranks. CHANGELING Seems to have attained peak form. Can handle some of the best three-year-old fillies. CEE VEE Has raced well since returning to competition and should knock out a purse this week. LA CORREDORA Current form is good and only a suitable spot is needed for a victory. CARYS HOPE Closed a world of ground in last and should beat a field of platers in next. BURNHAM WOOD Recent race suggests a graduation in the very near future for this one. MONMOUTH PARK HATFIELD H. C. Dodson-trained three-year-old was very green in her debut here last week, but she looks like she is cut out to be a runner. JUNGLE JAG This colt has been working well and he did not have a good opportunity to show his ability in his first start. SHARBOT Darby Dan Farm two-year-old filly looks like one of the best youngsters at this track. GINGER BOOTS Was used to force the pace for his winning stablemate. Fighting Fleet, last week. Figures to show better the next time. BAYOU ROSE Juvenile filly can improve over her last race and might surprise. FREE STRIDER Obviously was in need of his first start since Florida last winter and should go well in his next outing. PENSON Appears in good form right now and should earn his way at this meeting. WHITE WITCH Juvenile did not like the sloppy track over which she made her debut, but looks like a promising filly. BRADLEY His disappointing effort over a sloppy track must be excused and he should make amends if not in too tough. OUR COOKIE This one is reported rounding into form and expected to be ready at the next asking. BLUE LANTERN Has always been fond of the Monmouth racing strip and needs just a slight drop in company to get the laurels. RIVER DOWNS MR. FISKE Steady sprinter has been freshened and is making, work-watchers check watches. Could score at first asking. GREY BORDER This twolyear-qld gray colt has shown flashes of waking up in his late races. Connections regard him highly. GRAND PIDGE Maiden who had a world of speed in recent outing and appeared trifle short. Should not tarry long in non-winner class. FOSSIES GIRL This filly needs only slightly more experience at the races to settle down. Recently breezed half in :48 from barrier. VADAPUR Disregard last race of this fast two-year-old. Was almost knocked to her knees at crucial stage. Might profit from experienced rider. HALLIE DEAR Murray Hill racer showed sharp improvement in latest outing. Is now fit and ready to garner top money. VICO French-bred horse has little liking for close company in races. Will run much better if kept clear of brushing in next race. PARKMOUNT Showed last outing that he is now racing tight. Has a touch of good blood and will reward backers soon. THIRD -WAR Sir Gallahad TJI. gelding was- impeded slightly while tiring in last race. That race puts him in tip-top shape. BOSOX JR. Change of barns may be what this performer needed. Could earn portion of claiming price immediately. SUGAR DOUGHNUT Weakened slightly after showing determination in sprint other day. Signs point to a victory soon. OMAHA, QUEEN 0STARS-Appeared a trifle short in first start after a lengthy absence and that one should have served as the necessary tightener. MISS BUSTER This shifty sprinter has been knocking at the victory door and should find a field to her liking in immediate future. EXTRA MILEAGE Dispappoined last time at short odds when impeded repeatedly during early running. Merits another chance against similar rivals. SHORT RED Closed resolutely behind Catline in last start and appears ready to turn back ,500-,250 rivals. PLYING VALE Drop in classification is all required to assure victory for this better-than-average router. DORECTORA Had a rough trip last time when finishing third to OBriens Pat. TEN TWIST Shifty two-year-old has displayed speed in each outing and should not be much longer in earning first set of brackets. BLUE POST Disregard last which was contested over a muddy strip. Needs firm footing for best performance. GABRIEL T. Hard-hitting plater was defeated the narrowest of margins in previous trip postward. Improvement with additional racing is expected. Appears to be at peak form for a real effort. SOME CHARGE Has been training well here since blackout, never gives a dull performance. RJOT Shipped in here from Detroit. Will fit in well with his class here. ANGLE BAR Here is a hard-hitting plater, is always in there giving best at all times. SIR MARCH Recent races show this one is very consistent; is never pitched too high. RUSTY LAD Has plenty of speed; goes best in the shOTter distances. Is ready according to recent morning .trials. IRISH WIT Races with the better type horses, will fit in with the higher class platers here at this meet. " WILD PETER Best races are over "off" track. If he can catch mud he will be a very tough foe at the longer routes. THIRD SPIN Appears to be at best; recent races were good. Is always charging at finish. WRAGGLE-TAGGLE Has one victory already at this meeting. Should go right on anexing many more during the long meet ahead. NARRAGANSETT PARK NIPPISING This filly has been displaying speed in her morning trials and should be ready at first asking. LADY FINN A recent six-furlongs in 1:14 stamps her as ready for brackets. FICKER LIGHT Morning trials of this fellow suggest trainer Howard Wells will get off to a good start. RELATED His finale at Suffolk Downs stamps him as one of the top sprinters and the success should continue. MILLIE FAGAN A fleet Irish-bred miss who improves with each start. May attain her peak during the next 24 days. FIGHTING TONY A promising juvenile in the barn of Eddie Legere, who should not tarry in the non -winners ranks. LONG HILL A cheap platerwho may find the transfer from Suffolk Downs to his advantage. Has been close in most recent efforts at Boston. PEBBLES HOUR Appears to have regained form displayed before a bad spill and Suffolk finale endorses his chances. GLADE WELL A mediocre sophomore that is due to improve. May score an upset against ,500 claimers at six furlongs. MR. A. B. A greatly improved sprinter who should continue his success throughout the next 24 days.
