Many Arrivals Swell Horse Colony at Narragansett Park NARRAGANSETT PARK, Pawtucket, R. L., June 28. Entries for Mondays racing at Narragansett will be taken here tomorrow by racing secretary Ty Shea and his staff, and at Suffolk Downs by Kenneth Mcintosh and Arthur Hunt. Yesterdays record heat wave caused many owners to hurriedly change their shipping plans and all through last night a stream of horse vans were arriving here from Suffolk Downs, New Jersey and other points. Stall superintendent McMahon this morning estimated that 550 thoroughbreds arrived and were bedded down during the wee small hours. Many members of Gansetts official family reported today. Assistant racing secretary Henry Carroll checked in from Maryland. Steward Leo ODonnell was busy checking license applications. Steward R. Norman Charlton is due from Waterford Downs tomorrow. Racing secretary Shea and placing judges Ted Dooley and Harry Fiske have been here all during the past week. Starter G. R. Buddy Wingfield, whose crew has been schooling here all week, makes the short trip on Sunday, as do Ken Mcintosh, Arthur Hunt and Harry Krovitz.
