HALF GIGGER opened a commanding lead at once, skirted the inner rail and prevailed over BANK DRIVE. The latter improved position gradually, rallied in the final sixteenth, but was unable to reach the leader. PROMISING, under steady pressure, held on stubbornly. IDEALIST broke alertly, remained in closest attendance of the pace Until the final furlong, then weakened. EASTER ISLAND worked his way up between horses with a good effort. GAME LADY, forwardly placed early, flattened out when put to pressure. WOLFCAMP retired steadily after failing to get the early lead. BOY GENIUS broke slowly and was never prominent. The latter assumed command soon after the start, held sway most of the trip and held on gamely. PORTENTOUS, slow to settle into best stride, came between horses on the final turn, moved to the inside, but was unable to reach the leader. RIP SNORT, close up on the outside, flattened out near the end. ADANTINO raced close to the pace, challenging on the final turn and weakened. BOUNCING BABY broke alertly, dropped off the pace and failed to menace wjth a late rally. OUR SAM was unable to keep up. WAR CANDY weakened. UNCLE HAL and ILL BE AROUND were outrun. ANNIES CHOICE, steadied within striking distance of the pace to the final quarter mile, moved to the outside for the drive, responded willingly to pressure and was along to outfinish LITTLE AUD. The latter moved with the winner on the outside and was pressing at the end. DANDY FOOT alternated in establishing the pace, regained the lead into the stretch, but was not good enough. BOLD BRENNAN, outrun in the early stages, moved through along the inside, but was not good enough. SCHOLARSHIP rallied in the late stages, but failed to reach the leaders. BILL HOWK was outrun. QUEEN OF SILKS, unhurried while settling into best stride, moved boldly on the outside to- engage for command near the furlong pole and was drawing clear at the end. PRINCELING worked his way up on the outside while closing strongly through the stretch. WAR TORO, in hand and close to the pace, rallied mildly, but was unable to reach the lead. TOOTSIE McCABE forced the pace for five furlongs, assumed command under pressure, drifted out slightly and weakened near the end. MARINE CHARGER, on the outside of the leaders, was caught in a jam through the stretch. BILTRITE, allowed to drop out of contention early, worked his way up along the inside, but failed to respond to late urging. ANAMIA flattened out after six furlongs. The latter raced with the pace while saving ground along the inside, got the lead inside the final furlong and just missed. WHIRLING BAT, never far off the pace, was forced to ease back on the final turn, then, closed with a late rush on the inside.
