Lefty James Assigned 125 For Brandeis Memorial AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Neb., June 22.— Weights for the ,100 added George Brandeis Memorial Handicap, to be decided here Saturday, were released today by director of racing Dick Leigh. High-weight among the 11 candidates for this one and a sixteenth miles handicap is J. K. Houssels Left James, tendered 125 pounds. With four pounds less, Dell T. Crabtrees Gunner Lad is second from the top while Gold Tree Stables Mac is next with 118. Lefty James picks up two pounds over the burden he toted the past week end and equalled the track record of 1:09% for six furlongs. Gunner Lad, winner of this local fixture last year as a three-year-old, returned to winning form here recently competing at a distance of ground. Gunner Lad, who won six of eight starts last year, downed Butch K by nine lengths in his only route appearance this season here. Weights follow: Horse. Wt. Horse. Wt.
