To Invite Ohio Derby Winner As Pimlico Special Starter THISTLEDOWN, North Randall, Ohio, June 22. — It was learned here that the Maryland Jockey Club, operators of one of Americas famous race tracks, Pimlico, had announced that the winner of the twentieth running of the 5,000 Ohio Derby, to be run at ThistleDown on Saturday, July 17, would be invited to start in the Pimlico Special this fall. The Special, an invitational affair, is limited to the winners of Americas famous races Kentucky Derby, Arlington Classic, Santa Anita Handicap, Widener, etc. , and some of the greatest horses who have ever run have won this event including War Admiral, Seabiscuit, Challedon, Whirl-away, Twilight Tear, Armed, Assault,. Citation v.and last seasons Horse of the Year,v Tom Fool. The Ohio Derby has drawn quite a good field of nominees and it is quite probable that the eventual winner will be one of the best three-year-olds of the current season.
