Ernest C. Ryan Dies HEMET, Calif., June 22. — Ernest "Ernie" C. Ryan, 69, passed away here Sunday morning at J. Hal Seleys farm. Born in Liberty, Kansas, he had been connected with thoroughbred racing since 1905. He groomed With Pleasure while with Brolite Farms and Whirlaway while with Calumet. He also had been employed by Charles S. Howard. Ryan is survived by his widow and two brothers, Clifford P. and Cleo, all of Los Angeles. Funeral services have not yet been arranged.
