ROSIE LAYBEN gradually worked her way forward to the stretch, was sent between horses during the drive and, taking command inside the final furlong, won going away. TUTOR began fast and made the pace until inside the stretch, but was unable to hold the winner. SMALL CANGE moved up fast after the start and raced evenly in a good performance. GOOD SKETCH raced nearest TUTOR to the last eighth mile and then weakened. MASEAMANOR-lacked early speed. SOLID GOLD could net keep up. RADIANT STAR was never prominent. PARADISE PEAK, outrun to the stretch, was sent between horses at the final turn and, responding to strong handling, disposed cf ROYAL PEAK and won going away. IMPERIAL CADET, in close quarters following the break, and on the outside entering the stretch, closed gamely under punishment, but was not good enough for the winner. ROYAL PEAK took an early lead, made the pace to the final furlong but failed to staywhen challenged by PARADISE PEAK. SEA BANDIT, forwardly placed early, swerved to the inside during the stretch run and his rider was unable to do him justice BUSHRANGER had early speed but failed to stay. Won ridden out LOYAL WOMAN, away alertly, raced nearest BOUTIQUE until inside the stretch, took command .near the furlong post and drew clear while being ridden out. BOUTIQUE took an early lead; made the pace to the stretch after her riders saddle had slipped and was unable to withstand the winner, although probably best. TELEGRAFO raced evenly and had no mishap. FRED COLWILL lacked early foot and could not enter serious contention. CARTAGENA was never prominent. TERI ELLEN began, well but dropped back immediately after the start. Teri Ellen claimed by I. BLACK DOT went to the front early and, after settling into the stretch with a good lead, was briskly handled to withstand HIGHBORN LADY. The latter, away fast, swerved slightly entering the stretch, then closed willingly under urging but could not overtake the winner. OUT MANEUVER gave a good performance and had no excuse. ACCLAIM, on the outside from the start, drifted to the middle of the track entering the stretch and could not threaten the leaders. AMBER MOOIN lacked early foot but finished well under punishment. KITHARA, away sluggishly, was hustled to reach serious contention, then bore out while tiring during the stretch run. EASTER MUSIC clipped AMBER MOONS heels when entering the stretch and taken up, failed to recover. LUCIENNE tired. FAIRY LILY was never dangerous. CHARMADOR, forced wide at the Cpper turn and outrun to the stretch, finished gamely under urging but could not reach the leaders. BALEVILLE began sluggishly, made a mild bid in the early stretch and then weakened. STRATAPLAN • bore out leaving the backstretch and could not enter serious contention when straightened up.
