Kintla Among Eight Useful Sprinters Clashing at Sporstmans Park Today Dr. Joe Kay and Rip Road Expected to Make Strong Bids in Cant Trust Purse - SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, 111., April 30.— Edward J. Grosfields colorbearer, Kintla, winner of one race at the current Sportsmans Park meeting, heads a field of eight sprinters in Thursdays ,500 6-furlong Cant Trust Purse at this track. The four-year-old filly takes on such useful runners as George Gerbers Dr. Joe Kay, R. W. Adams* Dr. Josh, W. D. Parr and L. Dilgers Rare Music, Mr. and Mrs. William S. Tompkins Inahmond, Mrs. Nick Morans Buddy Poppers, Harold C. Hoffmans Rip Road and Anthony Ferraras Dave Johnson. Kintla is expected to be the favorite in the sprint because of her good Sportsmans Park showing. However, Dr. Joe Kay, a speedster, could turn the trick. In their last clash, Kintla caught Dr. Joe Kay at the head of the stretch, beating the latter by one length. Thursdays race is a sixteenth of a mile shorter and could be advantageous for the front-running Dr. Joe Kay. Kintlas last outing was in the 0,000 Spring Handicap last Saturday, where she failed to gain part of the purse. Dr. Joe Kay and Rip Road come off excellent efforts. Rip Road finished third behind Noble Imp and Ali O-K last week in a 6-furlong event.
