TIM TAM, much closer to the early, pace thanbefore, saveo ground until blocked on the final turn where he was brought out between horses to commence-his bid, lost additional ground when forced out through the early stretch but responded to urging and, while being brought back to the inner rail, he wore down EBONY PEARL near the end. The latter made the pace while in hand, saved ground to the stretch where he drifted out when put to a drive, commenced swerving under additional pressure and held on stubbornly. FLAMINGO, unhurried through the first half mile, moved along the outside thereafter to. loom boldly through the early stretch, was brushed by EBONY PEARL nearing the furlong marker and appeared to flounder slightly in the going shortly thereafter. NADIR, in hand through the tarly stages, moved strongly from between horses on entering the stretch, but could not stay with the leaders when the real test came. NADIR worked on out ari additional furlong, reaching the ,end of a mile and one-eighth in 1:54%. RELLIM S. W. gained a striking position on the final turn but could not sustain his bid. HILL COUNTRY stopped suddenly on the stretch tum. MARTINS RULLAH was devoid of early speed and came unnecessarily wide into the stretch. COLONEL R. CRESWOOD SUSIE found her best stride too late. APPEASE NOT was never a serious factor. TOLD YOU SO faltered after maintaining a striking position to the early stretch. NOBLE WARRIOR was prominent for five-eighths and tired.
