Scott expressed his gratification over the meeting and he was particularlv jubilant over the generous patronage that was on hand daily, even on inclement days. "The success of our short race meeting exceeded my best expectations and I feel flattered by the results in mv initial managerial experience," he remarked "and encouraged by the success of our spring meeting 111 strive for greater things in the future. It is the intention of the association to make extensive improvements for our fall racing, that will greatly add to the comfort of our patrons." President Sewell S. Combs was also elated over the success achieved during the meeting and also said that in addition to the improvements contemplated also there would be every effort made to attract the best horses in the country to take part in the autumn meeting.
