Start good and slow. Won easily second and third driving. Kl SliEE was saved behind the early leaders to the last turn, then saved much ground on the inside when entering the stretch and, racing into the lead, easily held ALETO safe. The latter was shuffled back when going to the first turn, but dosed a big gap and finished fast and close up. DISCIPLE, after racing close up. took the lead briefly when an eighth otit. but could not hold it. COLONEL SCHOOLER tired in the final drive. BUB SPALDING had no mishaps. MONASTERY showed the most earlv speed and tired. Start good and slow. Won easily: second and third driving. POWER raced under restraint, close up to the turn into the stretch, and, coming to the inside, passed the leaders and won easing up. MEDDLING SETH showed the most early speed, held the lead well to midway of the stretch, but gave way when POWER challenged. WILLIAM DIGGINS was away slowly and closed a big gap. but tired at the end. BASHA raced fairly well. JACK KNIGHT was done in the stretch. HAPPY TOP quit. PEGGY O. raced poorly. BARB WIRE gained gradually and made a challenge in the stretch, but was unable to do better than sceond. SLIGO BRANCH raced prominently for three-quarters, but began tiring in the final drive. INDIAN TALES closed up considerable ground after suffering from interference. FEHRAH showed the most early speed, but was well spent when reaching the stretch.
