TRIAL GALLOPS FOR CHANCE SUN AND CHANCEVIEW LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 3. Adhering to schedule, trainers Pete Coyne and Tommy Oliphant worked J. E. Wideners Chance Sun "and J. J. Flanigans Chanceview, two of the ranking Derby candidates, under somewhat unfavorable conditions today. Of the two, Chanceview showed the most speed and also accomplished one of his best trials of the spring season when he ran three-quarters on a muddy track at Douglas Park in 1:20. At Churchill Downs, where Chance Sun went a similar distance, like footing prevailed, and the winter book favorite was timed in 1:22. Neither of the sons of Chance Shot was out for a "breeze" at any stage of their journey. Jockey Wayne Wright reported to Coyne this morning, but was not astride the Derby choice, which he will ride in the 0,000 added race. Wright, present leader of American riders, came from Miami, where he headed the riders at the three meetings which composed the season there. 1 , r . , L j : j i ! r
